My First Ever....

Green Heron

It was uneventful weekend at the Bald Eagle nests this past weekend.  I guess that is a good thing for the growing eaglets.  I did see my first ever Green Heron in the wild on the way to one of the Bald Eagle nests.  What a cool looking bird! Its' coloring is subtle but also very striking. It was wading in a small pool of water near the edge of the Hudson River.
